It's time to take your seats for the main course!
When you picture the perfect winter meal, whether up at a chalet or keeping warm in the city, you would be hard-pressed to find a better-fitting main course than Beef Bourguignon. While it does require some work, it will have your guests' mouths watering for weeks afterward as they beg you for the recipe.
Since this is such a heavy dish and roasted vegetables are mixed in with it, we recommend not overwhelming your guests with too many sides. A single side dish that always goes well with beef is Parisian Styles Mashed Potatoes or Pomme Purée.
While some people may prefer to keep their meat and potatoes separate, we love to have them in the same bowl to allow the meat juices to mix in with the potatoes.
